In his visit from the Knowledge series, Globi meets many well-known, historical and unconventional personalities from Switzerland, such as Georges de Mestral, the inventor of Velcro, or Susanna Karolina Faesch, who visited the famous chief Sitting Bull. Globi also meets the milk chocolate inventor Daniel Peter, the mysterious healer Emma Kunz, the singer-songwriter Mani Matter and the opera diva Lisa della Casa.
A total of 44 impressive people are portrayed who were courageous and realised their ideas against all odds. People who travelled far and wide, invented things that we still use today or paved the way for their descendants. Globi is sometimes right in the middle of it all and retells the life stories vividly and sensitively for the children.
The non-fiction book was illustrated by scientific illustrator Daniel Müller and the texts were written by historian and journalist Marc Zollinger.
